Environments

Cargo runs one gateway per country, plus a shared dev environment for integration work. Develop and test against dev, then switch the base URL to your country when you go live.

tip

The SDKs resolve the base URL from the environment option, so you rarely need to write these URLs yourself. You can still override it with baseUrl (TypeScript) or base_url (Python), for example to go through a proxy.

Dev is for integration work

Orders created in dev are real records in the dev environment. Don't point load tests or automated suites at production.
